La tête dans les nuages est le fruit de notre collaboration avec l’artiste Laurent Grasso. Dans le cadre des rencontres entre art et architecture au cœur des gares du Grand Paris Express, notre tandem propose aux futurs usagers de la gare de Châtillon-Montrouge un faux plafond en trompe-l’œil représentant un ciel inspiré des peintures de la Renaissance. Notre collaboration artiste – architecte a été l’occasion de mixer en profondeur art et architecture. Ici l’intervention de l’artiste est pleinement intégrée au bâtiment. Les 800m2 de lames du plafond conçu par les architectes sont le support de l’œuvre : une peinture longue de plusieurs mètres, photographiée en HD pour recomposer un fichier graphique appliqué lame par lame. Tel un puzzle, chaque pièce composera une partie de l’image finale. Avec Laurent Grasso nous réinventons un ciel à cette infrastructure. Ainsi quelque sera la position du voyageur à l’intérieur de l’espace piranésien de la gare, ce ciel l’accompagnera vers la surface.
The head in the clouds is the result of our collaboration with the artist Laurent Grasso.
As part of the encounters between art and architecture in the heart of the Grand Paris Express stations, our tandem offers future users of the Châtillon-Montrouge station a false ceiling in trompe-l'oeil representing a sky inspired by Renaissance paintings.
Our artist - architect collaboration was an opportunity to thoroughly mix art and architecture. Here the artist’s intervention is fully integrated into the building. The 800m2 of ceiling slats designed by the architects are the support of the work: a painting several meters long, photographed in HD to recompose a graphic file applied blade by blade. Like a puzzle, each piece will make up a part of the final image. With Laurent Grasso we are reinventing a sky for this infrastructure. So whatever the position of the traveler inside the Piranesian space of the station, this sky will accompany him towards the surface.
